TLC car rental in NYC — common questions
- Do I need a TLC licence to rent a car on FleetLinkr?
- No — you can browse and request any vehicle. Some owners require a TLC licence for their listing (marked "TLC drivers only"). If you are TLC-licensed, you can verify it on your profile with your FHV driver licence number.
- How much does it cost to rent a TLC car in NYC?
- Prices vary by vehicle and listing type. Weekly rentals typically range from $300 to $1,500 per week. Lease-to-own listings include a weekly payment and a down payment. Sale listings show the full purchase price.
- How do I contact the owner?
- Send a booking request from the vehicle page. When the owner accepts, FleetLinkr shares both parties’ contact details so you can arrange pickup and terms directly. FleetLinkr does not process payments.
- What does "Plate matched to NYC TLC record" mean?
- FleetLinkr checks the vehicle’s plate against NYC’s public active FHV vehicle dataset. If the plate matches a record in good standing, the listing shows a verified badge with the record’s expiration date.
